We would love to have you visit us
sometime.
Here is what to expect when you come.
First, you can always expect a Bible
answer for any question that you may wish to ask.
(We encourage questions!)
This is because we believe that the Bible should be our only
guide in all spiritual matters; "All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly
furnished unto all good works." (2
Tim. 3:16-17). Man's opinions and creeds simply do not matter when it comes
to pleasing God; "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines
the commandments of men." (Matt.
15:9).
Second, you can look forward to
worshiping God in the simple, New Testament way.
We try to worship exactly like Christians did in the first
century. We teach and admonish one another through acappella (vocal only)
singing, as a congregation (Col.
3:16). We pray as a congregation (1
Thess. 5:17). We partake of the Lord's Supper on the first day of the week (Acts
20:7). We give as we have been prospered on the first day of the week (1
Cor. 16:1-2;
2 Cor. 9:7). And finally, we have a sermon where the Bible is taught (Acts
20:7).
Third, expect to be treated like a
welcome guest.
We won't single you out or embarrass you in any other way during
our worship service. However, we would love to get to know you better before and
after the service. If you have any questions about anything that is done during
our worship or which was taught in the sermon; please feel free to ask. We will
always give you a Bible answer in response.
