James 1:21-25

Introduction.

1. There was a news story on the television concerning a coach who needed a double lung implant and he was expected to fully recover.

a. He was dying.

b. His implanted lungs gave him a new life.

2. This passage tell us about the implanted word of God, giving us spiritual life.

Body.

I. THE POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD.  (audio starts on this point)

A. Notice the words of James himself.

B. Its power to save is found in its ability to...

II. BENEFITING FROM THE POWERFUL WORD OF GOD.

A. There are things we must lay aside.

B. We must have a proper attitude.

C. The word must be implanted in our hearts.

D. It must be applied in our lives.

Conclusion.

1. Notice that James calls the Word of God the perfect law of liberty - James 1:25
