Introduction:
1. The Bible records some very blatant sins committed by people as well as some
that are more subtle.
2. It is not that the sins cannot be recognized for what they are, it is simply
that in the whole context, we sometimes choose to overlook them.
3. But I believe that practice to be very dangerous. For it often translates
into the lives of some people.
Body:

B. Within the arrangement of the home, God gave man headship responsibilities.
2. (Ephesians 5:23).
C. Adam, who was with Eve (Genesis 3:6), did not provide the headship or
leadership he should have provided.
D. It is the case today, that husbands and fathers do not provide the headship
or leadership their home needs.
E. (Ephesians
6:4;
5:25).
II. SELFISHNESS
B. The very first fruit of disobedience seemed to be selfishness.
1. Suddenly Adam and Eve looked inward.
2. Suddenly they developed an unwholesome concern for self.
C. Notice how they shifted blame because of they had become self oriented.
D. (I Corinthians 10:24) "Let no man seek his own, but each one the other's well
being."
III. ANONYMITY
B. What possible good would a secret disciple be to God?
F. You Never Mentioned Him To Me
IV. INTELLECTUAL DISHONESTY
B. Paul had reasoned, explained, and demonstrated the truth from the Scriptures,
but some continued in unbelief.
C. Christianity demands humility within a person (James 4:10).
D. Past beliefs, current practices, or traditional views cannot be allowed to
stand in the way of truth.
E. Are we really lovers and seekers of truth?
Conclusion:
1. As I said in the beginning, some sins recorded in the Bible have stayed
tucked away in the corner, without much attention given to them.
2. But we need to give attention to them, for we may be guilty of the
very same sins!
