Dear Brethren, The Gahanna Jefferson Church of Christ met for the first time on January 3, 1992, at the cafeteria of the Gahanna Jefferson High School. During the first four years, we met in eight different locations. We, then, were able to purchase a five-acre parcel of ground with a small house. We have now retired the debt on this property. After years of ongoing conversion of the house, we now have a small but beautiful place to worship and fellowship. The building has three class rooms as well as an auditorium that will seat 55. Don Treadway has been our minister for all of these years with the support of the Spring Road Church in Westerville, the Alkire Road Church in Grove City, and the Granny White Pike Church in Nashville. The Spring Road Church provided $200.00, the majority of Don's hospitalization for the first several years, and then we picked up that expense. They no longer are involved in his support. The Granny White Pike Church was in the beginning, Don's major supporter. They provided him with $2667.00 a month. We have picked up his support, as we could over the years, to where we now provide $1400.00 per month as the Granny White Pike Church has decreased its support providing $900.00 per month. Last summer the Alkire Road Church started to support Don $200.00 a month. We also provide his hospitalization which is $1450.00 per quarter. The Granny White Pike Church has informed us that as of November 2000 they will no longer continue their support of Don. The Church here has grown from Don and his family to an attendance of 30 to 35 on Sunday morning and Sunday night with a Wednesday night attendance of 25 to 30. Our contribution has averaged $781.00 per week this year. As you can see we are unable to assume any more of Don's support at this time and we are writing you to ask if you could help with this need starting in November, 2000, or in January, 2001. If you would like more information, please contact us. Sincerely,
