To Our Fellow Workers in the Lord:

No, this is not just another request asking for money. It is an invitation to participate with us in reaching the lost in central Ohio. We are a church planting that has experienced only limited growth largely due to our building. We have improved our building to meet our current needs, but it remains an impediment to spreading the gospel. It has become apparent that to complete our planting and successfully accomplish our goal of reaching the lost, we must construct a new building, continuing our evangelistic focus.

Now is the time! The area directly surrounding us is experiencing exceptional new home growth. One year ago we began sending Heart-to-Heart to the two closest mail routes, just over 1,000 homes. Today, those routes are nearly 1,500 homes. That’s 500 new homes, and the zoning people tell us 2004’s growth will be even higher! We now have a tremendous opportunity to reach people at a very receptive time — as they move into our area.

As a small congregation of 30-40 members, we have already accomplished the following goals in addition to meeting ongoing expenses and establishing a building savings account:

• Purchased and paid for five (5) acres of land with the small house where we are currently meeting
• Cleared the lot of trees and brush and constructed a parking area.
• Remodeled the existing house, (creating an auditorium and classrooms) establishing a regular place to worship after several years of frequent moves
• Began steps toward new construction:
• Completed boundary and topographical surveys
• Purchased and paid for a 50’ X 125’ General Steel building (shell)
• Contracted an architect and established a modest, cost effective building design

While doing this, we have continued our primary focus of evangelism through the following endeavors:

• Heart-to-Heart • Website (Over 2,800 visits per month)
• Gospel Meetings • Bible correspondence courses (Contacts from around the world)
• State Fair booth • Direct Outreach (Door knocking, home Bible study, personal invitations, etc.)

We are committed to the Lord’s work in Gahanna and are not asking the brotherhood to bear our burden for us, but to join with us in this new and exciting opportunity for outreach. To seize this tremendous opportunity, we need prayers and financial help from both congregations and individual members of the Lord’s church. It is our prayer that you will enthusiastically participate with us by praying and by making either a one-time or an ongoing financial commitment to help us complete these remaining items:

• Site preparation (foundation, septic system, driveway, and parking lot) ($156,136)
• Building erection ($ 115,924)
• Completion of the interior (less furnishings) ($290,458)
