Setup for Windows Media PlayerYou can download Windows Media Player from Microsoft (if you are having trouble getting Media Player to work, you might try another player like Winamp). The objective is to ensure that Windows Media Player is setup to play WAV, or Audio, Files. Checking the Audio File box, as shown in these examples, causes Windows Media Player to start and play WAV files when they are opened, either from the internet or from your local computer. The examples show on this page are for version 7 - your screens may be different. 1. Start Windows Media Player by clicking on the Start button (in the
task bar) and choosing Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Windows Media Player. 2. Open the Options Window by selecting Tools from the top menu, then
clicking on Options. 3. Check Audio File. Click on the Formats tab, ensure the
"Audio file" box is checked, then click OK. 4. Close Windows Media Player. |
